I enjoy the cliches of old school bad boy country music. Shooter Jennings is one of my favorites of the new generation in this genre. I’ve been listening to him as I walk around suburban Sydney. Good stuff, people. I love the lone wolf/cowboy/bad man imagery. It’s so much fun, but it does make me a bit homesick. Sydney is so much like a San Diego/Phoenix combo, it’s almost disorienting. And I haven’t been out of the city yet, which is distressing. I’m not much of a city person, when it comes down to it. If I don’t get out of the sprawl every once in awhile, I get really cranky.
(Like a wolf. A lone wolf.)
Well, they do have amazing black licorice here, which is my extrasuper favorite kind of candy. And honestly, the men here are more attractive than expected. I’ve yet to see a Sam Worthington, but the husband and I were discussing this earlier. The men are far more attractive here in general than the men in San Diego, at least to me. I think it’s the significant lack of metrosexuality. I’ve not seen too many straight guys with manicures, though the artfully scruffy beard is a dime a dozen. That in itself is not bad when paired with an old tshirt and jeans, not some deep v-neck $150 designer tee and $300 jeans.
To sum up, Australia is as rad as I’d expected. Feels like home, but smells a little different and the groceries are way expensive.

I love sight-seeing.
